Two of the USA's leading financial institutions come together to design an index that pursues long-term growth by systematically allocating to companies around the world with the potential for high profitability.
The initial premium amount is guaranteed to be paid out over the life of the annuity contract regardless of the index's performance. Guarantee is from "A" rated Independent Life Insurance Company, who is also reinsured by "A+" rated Hannover Re US.
The future payments rise according to the combination of index performance and the annuity contract's locked-in participation rate. Two allocation strategies are available to set the floor for each payment: balanced growth and high growth.
Income tax-free payments for personal physical injury, workers' compensation, and wrongful incarceration. Tax-deferred payments for attorney fees, non-physical injury settlements and structured installment sales.
Payments can start immediately or be deferred up to 40 years; be made for a certain time period or for the annuitant's life. Lump sums can be used for milestone ages or reinvestment opportunities.
Based upon historical performance of the index dating back to 2006, the combination of index performance and participation rate is expected to provide significantly higher payouts over the long-term vs. a fixed interest rate.
Decide how you want your future payments:
For durations 15 years or less, we recommend "High Growth", which will create equal starting amounts for each payment in your schedule. With this approach, you will never receive less in one year than you did a previous year.
For durations over 15 years, we recommend "Balanced Growth", which will create decreasing starting amounts for each year of payments in your schedule. This effect helps to spread out the index gains over time vs. being built up too heavily in the later years of the annuity contract. With this approach, you will experience downward fluctuations at times, but these are not losses to you.
When there is an index gain for the policy year, that gain is multiplied times the participation rate to determine the index credit rate. Any index loss is zeroed out and treated as no gain.
All current and future payments are increased by any index credit rate at the end of a policy year. Once index credits are applied, they are locked-in and guaranteed not to decrease.
